We’re pleased to announce that PayU Latam is now supported in Kill Bill! This is a fantastic option for those of you trying to grow their presence in Latin America. You can now support dozens of local payment methods across seven countries: Mexico, Panama, Colombia, Brazil, Peru, Chile and Argentina.

What’s even more exciting is that you can not only tokenize and process credit cards, but you can also support cash-based payment methods. For those who don’t know, paying by cash (even online) is still very popular in Latin America (so popular that we made it the subject of our last hackathon) and the experience is surprisingly seamless: the gateway generates a code during the checkout flow, that the customer will need to bring to their bank or local store within a set timeframe. Once the client has physically paid with cash, the bank or local store notifies PayU (and eventually Kill Bill) that the payment has been made. This way of paying has the main advantage to reach all of the un- or underbanked while offering a pleasant experience (customers have the option to pay any time and virtually anywhere, in their own local shops).

Among popular payment methods supported: Boleto Bancario, PSE, Bancomer, Santander, Oxxo and 7eleven.

International markets have always been a priority for us and we want to enable and streamline payments in all regions. If yours isn’t covered yet, get in touch!
